B&C Speakers - 12NBX100 4 Ohm

The 12NBX100 from B&C Speakers combines energy efficiency, impressive power handling and a lightweight design. It is aimed at professionals looking for a 12" loudspeaker capable of going the distance while preserving precise dynamics in the lower end of the spectrum.

This model is based on a 100mm copper voice coil mounted on a fibreglass support, which provides efficient heat dissipation while offering great mechanical stability.

With a rated power of 1000 W AES (and up to 2000 W peak), this loudspeaker meets the requirements of modern broadcast systems without batting an eyelid, whether they are intended for mobile stages or fixed applications.

Its compact neodymium motor incorporates an aluminium demodulation ring that reduces harmonic distortion, even at high levels. The diaphragm has a hydrophobic treatment on both sides, making it an appropriate choice in environments exposed to humidity.

The suspension's triple roll and double silicone spider help to manage travel, in this case ±10 mm linear, ensuring a stable response even at high excursion. The engine and suspension assembly is dimensioned to offer good control of transient behaviour, while maintaining good efficiency.

The 12NBX100 fits easily into a volume of 40 dm³, with a tuning frequency of around 50 Hz. This means it can be used in both compact subwoofers and wide-excursion two-way speakers, where mechanical strength and extended bass response are essential.
