B&C Speakers - 18DS115 8 Ohms Push Buttons

The B&C Speakers 18DS115 8 Ohm Push Buttons speaker was developed to boost the performance of large-format professional subwoofers, while reducing distortion and improving mechanical stability under high sound pressure.

With its 116 mm aluminum voice coil, wound in four layers and measuring 40 mm deep, this model guarantees a high level of control over the entire operating range.

Thanks to an internal neodymium slug driver, the 18DS115 concentrates a powerful and stable magnetic field in the air gap. This design allows for a nominal power of 1700 W, with a peak capacity increased to 3400 W, while maintaining a high sensitivity of 98 dB.

Its linear excursion reaches 16.5 mm, and the Xvar value rises to 14 mm, providing significant displacement capacity to reproduce deep bass accurately, without dynamic compression.

The entire cone features a TWP waterproof treatment on both sides, increasing its resistance to humidity and extending the driver's lifespan in demanding environments.

The triple-roll suspension and dual silicone spider were selected to ensure consistent mechanical performance, even at high excursion. Its resonance frequency is 30 Hz, making it a suitable choice for bass-reflex enclosures tuned around 40 Hz, with a recommended volume of 100 dm³.

Its overall diameter of 460 mm, depth of 248 mm, and net weight of 12.55 kg allow it to be integrated into powerful speakers without compromising mobility.

This driver is designed for applications requiring high SPL, solid power handling, and faithful reproduction of subwoofers, such as touring sound systems or high-impact fixed installations.
