B&C Speakers - 8CX21 16+16 Ohm

The B&C Speakers 8CX21 16+16 Ohm is an 8-inch coaxial ferrite magnet loudspeaker designed to deliver consistent, accurate sound reproduction in compact two-way systems. Its coaxial design incorporates a cone driver for bass and low midrange, combined with a high-frequency compression driver whose acoustic flow is diffused into the centre of the cone via a specially treated fabric dome. This concentric architecture guarantees perfect phase coherence and an even dispersion of 100° x 100°, ideal for close-range loudspeakers, stage monitors and installation applications.

The woofer features a 2-inch copper coil providing 200W AES power handling, while the high-frequency section, powered by a 1.46-inch aluminium coil, delivers 50W AES with 101dB sensitivity. The ferrite magnet system and aluminium basket provide an excellent balance between robustness and thermal stability.

The 8CX21 covers a bandwidth of 75 Hz to 20 kHz, with a recommended cut-off frequency of around 2.2 kHz via a two-way passive crossover such as the B&C X0-1. Compact, reliable and musical, this transducer is a versatile solution for designing high-performance loudspeakers with a natural, coherent sound.
