With the Crown CDi 4 600, system integrators have a multi-channel amplifier designed to offer power, flexibility and reliability in a single 2U format. Its DriveCore Class-D technology delivers up to 600 W per channel, with exemplary energy efficiency and ideal performance for fixed installations. Designed for medium-scale sound reinforcement, its versatility and proven robustness make it ideal for cinemas, bars, clubs, theatres and places of worship.

The CDi 4|600 incorporates a 96 kHz / 32-bit DSP, offering parametric equalisation, crossovers, delays and LevelMAX™ limiters. This allows precise processing directly in the amplifier, without the need to add external equipment. Preloaded presets for JBL speakers simplify setup and ensure consistent sound, even for users less familiar with advanced parameterisation. This approach saves valuable installation time and ensures optimum performance right from the start.

Crown has also thought about connection flexibility. The amp offers balanced and unbalanced analogue inputs, a GPIO/AUX port for remote control or monitoring, and compatibility with the HiQnet Audio Architect protocol. For versions equipped with BLU link, network integration is even more advanced. This connectivity makes the CDi 4|600 particularly attractive in multi-room environments where centralisation and network control are essential.

The Direct Drive function is a major asset: it enables 70 V or 100 V lines to be powered directly without the need for an external transformer. This feature greatly simplifies the wiring of distributed installations, such as in hotels, restaurants or public spaces. Thanks to its high efficiency and damping factor of over 1000, the amp maintains a clean, precise bass while ensuring optimum control of the connected loudspeakers.

Particular attention has been paid to thermal and sound management. The unit uses an intelligent variable-speed fan that maintains efficient cooling while remaining silent, with only 51 dBA measured at 1 metre. This makes the CDi 4|600 perfectly suited to sensitive environments such as auditoriums or conference rooms, where background noise must be kept to a minimum. Combined with its robust chassis and universal power supply, this amplifier ensures reliable, stable performance over time.
