Dap - TA-4.2600

The DAP TA-4.2600 is one of the most versatile touring amplifiers in the range, capable of handling both low impedance systems and 70/100 V lines. Its ability to deliver 4 x 2600 W at 4 ohms means it can drive complete configurations, while maintaining remarkable stability even at 2 ohms. Housed in a compact 1U chassis, it provides a comfortable reserve of power for touring applications, event structures or installations requiring high efficiency and total control of the audio channels.

Its integrated DSP is one of its major assets. Accessible via a network and Windows software, it provides a complete set of tools: 8-band parametric EQ on each input and output, high/low pass filters, FIR filters up to 512 pulses, 4×4 internal mixing, phase control, input delays of up to 100 ms, and output delays of up to 30 ms. Users can fine-tune each channel, manage levels, apply RMS/peak limiters and save up to 40 internal presets.

On the monitoring side, the IP connection gives access to essential information: output voltage, current, temperature and protection status. The amplifier can be daisy-chained using the integrated network switch, making it easy to install several units in a rack. Its front-panel LCD screen provides rapid local adjustment with an easy-to-access encoder, making it practical for occasional adjustments on tour.

The TA-4.2600 uses a universal SMPS power supply incorporating an active PFC and an architecture optimised for heavy audio loads. This choice provides greater energy efficiency, reduces heating and ensures constant performance, even when mains voltage fluctuates. With controlled axial fan cooling and front-to-back airflow suitable for touring racks, this amplifier combines endurance, power and processing precision in a compact format.
