The D’Addario Backline Electric Bass Case solves a problem every bassist is familiar with: the bag left behind in the boot. The Breakaway Bag detaches thanks to its Auto Lock mechanisms, allowing you to head straight to the stage hands-free.
The water-resistant fabric exterior withstands the elements during loading, and the reinforced zips hold up against the knocks of everyday use. Inside, a soft lining protects the finish with tear-resistant panels, whilst the climate-controlled neck cradle houses the separately sold Humidipak, which stabilises the air around the wood whilst on tour.
This case accommodates standard-scale bass guitars, with a body width of up to 330 mm and a headstock-to-neck length of 1232 mm, but is not suitable for short-scale models. The padded back panel and ergonomically balanced shoulder straps distribute the weight evenly whilst walking, and its dimensions of 1283 x 381 x 165 mm, weighing 3.15 kg, fit into a car boot without taking up the whole back seat.
