The D’Addario Backline Electric Guitar Case is compatible with a specific list of guitars: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Gibson SG, Les Paul, ES-336 and ES-339, provided the body width is less than 330 mm and the distance from the headstock to the lower strap button is less than 1067 mm.
The water-resistant fabric protects the finish from the rigours of life on tour, whilst the reinforced zips keep everything secure on bumpy journeys. Inside, a soft lining cradles the finish, whilst tear-resistant panels keep the guitar’s shape intact and shock-absorbing padding cushions it against knocks.
Under the neck, the Humidipak climate-control compartment stabilises the air around the wood, with a sachet sold separately. The Breakaway Bag detaches via Auto Lock mechanisms, and the ergonomically balanced shoulder straps distribute the weight across the back.

D’Addario has an industrial feature that is rare in the sector: the brand controls a significant proportion of its raw materials itself. Its WireWorks site in Farmingdale produces high-carbon steel wire for guitar strings. D’Addario also develops its own wire-drawing machinery and controls several stages of production in-house. This integration dates back to its investment in Renaissance Wire, followed by the complete modernisation of the wire production process in 2012–2014. The brand thus combines engineering, materials expertise and US manufacturing in an industry where the quality of the wire directly influences the characteristics of the strings.
