D'Addario EXL165SL bass strings are designed for Super Long Scale electric basses with a Custom Light 45-105 drawbar. This set combines Regular Light treble strings with thicker bass strings to achieve a balanced response throughout the register. The result is easy-to-play highs and solid lows that effectively support the bass line.
The construction is based on a hexagonal core of high-carbon steel, a key element for tuning stability and intonation accuracy. Around this core, a nickel-plated steel mesh provides a clean attack and good presence in the mix. The notes remain clear, with firm lows and brilliant highs.
This configuration is suitable for a wide range of styles, including fingerpicking, picking and slapping. The strings are protected in a recyclable VCI pouch that limits oxidation during storage. A Players Circle code on the packaging also allows you to record your playing to earn points.
