But beyond its refined silhouette and meticulous matt white finish, it's its ability to reproduce a coherent, wide and nuanced soundstage that makes an immediate impression. This 'Performance' version is more than just a makeover: it represents a real technical evolution of the famous Planet L.
The integration of a 2-way coaxial driver, combining a 165mm damped cellulose pulp bass-midrange and a 25mm silk tweeter, transforms sound reproduction.
This is further enhanced by a Neodymium magnet and DAR® suspension to ensure firm control even at sustained volume. The result is tight bass, clear vocals and fine highs, without any aggressive projection.
The speaker has a bandwidth of 46 Hz to 20 kHz, wide enough for faithful reproduction, whether in audiophile stereo or in a home cinema configuration. The bass-reflex tuning, precisely set at 50 Hz, gives a realistic soundstage, even without an additional subwoofer.
