With their intense red lacquer finish, the Elipson Planet L Performance Red won't go unnoticed. Behind this bold design lies a major technical evolution, designed to appeal to audiophiles and lovers of contemporary design alike.
Technically, these 2-way coaxial speakers incorporate a 165mm cellulose pulp bass-midrange driver, coupled to a 25mm treated silk tweeter, for precise, nuanced reproduction of the entire spectrum. Thanks to their bass-reflex load, perfectly tuned to 50 Hz, they manage to descend with authority into the bass range, while maintaining remarkable clarity in the high frequencies.
The internal components have been carefully selected: the 18 dB slope filter incorporates MKP and MKT capacitors and low-resistance inductors for smooth, natural frequency separation. The result is a stable, open soundstage that is perfectly controlled, even at high volumes. The Kapton coil support optimises cooling and ensures comfortable power handling up to 100 W.
Compared with the classic Planet L, this "Performance" version boasts greater definition, more controlled dynamics and the ability to reproduce the subtlest details with greater realism.
