Guitar Strings

Elixir 13017 Folk Anti Rust String à l'unité 017 Elixir 13017 is a single strand folk string made from 17 gauge solid unspun steel. It concentrates its tension into a strong thread that the PolyWeb Anti Rust coating protects session after session. The result is a round, warm sound that holds its colour without drifting, even under sustained attack.

ARTICLE N° 121061
The Elixir 13017 runs through the mix like a direct current: stable, directional, with no parasitic peaks. Picked up on a large-bodied folk, this single string with a draw of 17 generates a low, centred fundamental that anchors itself under the guitar's midrange without spilling over into the high frequencies - the sound is placed without any effort at balance.

Solid steel tension rod 17 concentrates the tension into a tightly wound wire: under the pick, the resistance is immediate and straightforward, and the attack bounces back with a physical feedback that tension rods 15 and 16 don't deliver. The PolyWeb coating covers the surface without adding tactile thickness - the pulp reads the metal directly, and the glide remains fluid along the entire length of the neck.

Anti-Rust shielding locks in the solid steel against oxidation: with no spiral to accumulate sweat, the string keeps its warm, round sound intact between session after session, with no dulling or loss of brilliance in the treble.
