  • NANOWEB coated strings offer a sound and feel comparable to traditional uncoated strings. They're bright and snappy, and the coating is so thin you can barely feel it.
  • Phosphor Bronze strings for acoustic guitar deliver a sound that's both warm and brilliant. The name comes from the purfling, which is made from a copper alloy with 8% tin and a small amount of phosphorus.
Since its beginnings in the 90's as a pioneer in coated string technology, Elixir has continued to evolve to meet the expectations and needs of guitarists around the world. Their continuous efforts to provide an outstanding sound life have led us to be the leader in this very market, without sacrificing the sound and feel that users love. It's a mission that has made Elixir the leading brand of strings for acoustic guitar. And maybe soon electric!

Unlike other brands, the coating on Elixir strings covers the entire string. Not only is the outer surface of the string protected, but also the hollows between the turns of the purfling where dirt has a habit of accumulating and killing the sound like on other brands of guitar strings. The Anti-Rust plating on the treble strings ensures extended sound life throughout the entire set.
