The Savarez 515R carries the tonal coherence of an entire set on its shoulders: a silver-spun fifth string on a nylon core, it deploys a round, centred bass, without the aggressive sheen of hard metals or the opacity of unspun synthetics. The normal draw weight doses the vibrating mass for a balanced feel - neither excessive resistance under the thumb, nor looseness under the bow of sustained arpeggios.
The loop feature simplifies installation on pin bridges, with no reknotting required. The 515R is a unitary refill of the 510R set, fitting between the New Cristal trebles and the Cantiga basses without creating a tonal gap in the chromatic rise.
