Epiphone - Wilshire P-90s Ebony
Epiphone Wilshire P-90s Ebony The Epiphone Wilshire P-90s Ebony makes a bold statement with a gloss finish on a two-piece solid mahogany body, whose symmetrical silhouette stays true to the Wilshire spirit. Its two P-90 PRO Soapbar pickups deliver a crisp tone, whilst the set neck, 24.75" scale length, LockTone Tune-O-Matic and Stop Bar ensure precision and stability.
Presentation
The two-piece solid mahogany body, finished in a gloss finish, delivers a solid low-end response without any unnecessary bulk around the neck. The glued-in mahogany neck features a Medium C profile and houses a double-action truss rod, protected at the headstock by a three-ply Epiphone Bullet cover, before extending to a 24.75-inch (628.65 mm) scale length.
The rosewood fingerboard, set to a 12-inch (304.80 mm) radius, features twenty-two medium-jumbo frets and dot inlays that mark the position without being visually overwhelming. A 43 mm Graph Tech NuBone nut anchors the strings before a Kalamazoo headstock, reduced to three tuning machines on each side, bearing the Epiphone Bikini crest and fitted with Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines with ivory-coloured knobs.
The P90 pickup configuration features two P-90 PRO Soapbar pickups – one at the neck and one at the bridge – housed under black covers. The 3-position switch, with a cream-coloured tip and a black surround engraved in gold, controls two CTS volume and two tone controls, adjusted via black Top Hat knobs with silver inserts, concealed beneath black PVC control covers, before the signal is routed to a 6.35 mm jack.
The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece, with nickel hardware, maintain the tension of .010 to .046 strings. The tortoiseshell-effect pickguard, featuring an aluminium ‘E’ logo, completes the front, whilst two strap buttons secure the strap for journeys to the stage. A premium gig bag is supplied with the instrument for transport between gigs.c
