The Evans EC2S Frosted 10" drumhead is a sandblasted drumhead made with a double-ply of 2x 7 mils each. These drumheads are specially designed to provide precise attack, balanced sound, extended sustain and exceptional ease of tuning.

The EC2S Frosted 10" head is specifically designed for use on a tom. It is equipped with two layers of 7 mil film, optimized to provide precise attack, balanced tone and extended sustain.
The particularity of the EC2S head is the presence of a ring (Edge Control) positioned under the double ply. This ring, thanks to Sound Shaping technology, allows to control the vibrations of the edges of the head rather than eliminating them completely. This has the effect of isolating and attenuating the highest harmonics, improving the bass and attack, and offering a wider tuning range.
