The Fender Player II Mustang Cactus Gray guitar adopts a Mustang format with a short 24″ scale suitable for nervous and precise playing. Its alder body is combined with a Modern C maple neck with a 9.5″ radius rosewood fingerboard and 22 jumbo medium frets. The 2 Mustang® Player Series AlNiCo V pickups are controlled by a 3-position selector switch with general volume and tone.

Presentation
The Fender Player II Mustang Cactus Gray features the iconic Mustang body in a version designed for today's demands. The solid body in alder has a gloss polyester finish in Cactus Gray. The maple neck is assembled using a standard 4-screw joint. The Modern C shape ensures a fluid grip across the entire range.
The urethane satin finish applied to the back of the neck enhances glide, while the headstock face remains glossy. The rosewood fingerboard has a radius of 9.5″ (241 mm), with edges shaped for comfort. The 22 jumbo medium frets make it easy to play both chords and melody lines. The 24″ (610 mm) pitch reduces tension and makes the instrument more supple under the fingers.
The electronics are based on a pair of single-coil Mustang® Player Series pickups fitted with AlNiCo V magnets. The three-position toggle switch lets you switch between bridge pickups, neck pickups and intermediate combinations. Settings are deliberately limited to a single master volume and tone.
The Strat® fixed through-string bridge features six pressed steel bridges for precise adjustment. Fender® ClassicGear™ tuners provide stable tuning with a modern ratio. The hardware benefits from a nickel/chrome finish. Fender® USA 250L (.009-.042) strings are fitted as original equipment.
