The Hagstrom Adina Blue Sky ticks all the boxes with an asymmetrical double-cutaway silhouette, a blue finish and a black pickguard that give it real character. Its mahogany body, Canadian maple top and flamed maple veneer reinforce this aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the 1960s Automatic. Whether at home or in the rehearsal room, it makes you want to move from a chord to a riff, then from a riff to a melody, simply to see just how far its range can take you.

The tone changes easily depending on the pickup position selected. The P-50 P-90-style neck pickup delivers a warm and expressive response, ideal for adding roundness to chords or bringing out a melodic line. At the bridge, the Custom 60 Humbucker shifts to something more powerful and incisive, with the punch needed for riffs and heavier tones. You can also use the tone control’s push/pull to split the humbucker and achieve a brighter sound. So it takes just a few simple adjustments to change the feel of a track without switching guitars.

And under your fingers, the Adina remains a pleasure to explore. Its Canadian maple neck features a Resinator™ fingerboard with a 15" radius and 22 Medium Jumbo frets, whilst the 25.5" (648 mm) scale length offers a familiar format for electric guitar playing. The Wrap-Around bridge promotes a quick response and extended sustain, with saddles that allow for intonation adjustment. Hagstrom 19:1 tuning machines round off the package. The result is a guitar that can transition from a laid-back style to more aggressive riffs without losing its identity, with that little extra touch of character provided by its look and Hagstrom heritage.
