Designed for CD enthusiasts, the FiiO DM15 R2R Silver combines a portable CD player, a passive R2R DAC and a headphone amplifier in a compact design. Its mechanism optimises playback of audio CDs as well as burned CDs containing WAV, FLAC or MP3 files.
The R2R architecture, based on 192 resistors, ensures the conversion of PCM files up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD256. With an output power of 1150 mW into 32 ohms via the balanced output, it can effectively drive a wide range of headphones.
Its DSP processor offers three levels of bass boost as well as eight EQ presets to tailor the sound to your preferences. The line, optical and coaxial outputs simplify connection to various devices, whilst the USB-C port allows you to convert your CDs into WAV files. Compatible with Bluetooth aptX HD and offering up to 7 hours’ battery life, it is equally suited to use on the move or on a desk.
