The FiiO K17 is a headphone amplifier and DAC that radically redefines what a desktop device can offer. Based on a dual AKM AK4499EX DAC paired with a triple quartz oscillator, it effortlessly decodes PCM files up to 32-bit / 768 kHz as well as native DSD512, whilst keeping distortion below 0.0005% and delivering a signal-to-noise ratio of 124 dB.
The fully discrete Class AB amplifier section delivers up to 4,000 mW into 32 ohms via balanced output, providing more than enough power to drive even the most demanding headphones, such as high-impedance models, with precision.
The connectivity is on a par with the electronics: USB-C, coaxial, optical, RCA, Bluetooth 5.1 with LDAC and aptX Adaptive, AirPlay and Roon compatibility for accessing an entire networked music library. The variable-level RCA and XLR outputs also allow the K17 to be integrated as a pre-amp at the heart of an existing hi-fi system.
The interface combines a 3.93-inch colour touchscreen with physical controls and a 31-band equaliser to customise the listening experience to your preferences. A three-level adjustable gain ensures universal compatibility.
