Presentation
The Flight DUC430 Dao brings all the visual character of this wood from South-East Asia to the concert-size ukulele. Its laminated dao wood is distinguished by its grey-brown, slightly greenish hues and dark grain, with natural patterns that make each instrument particularly expressive.
This wood offers a lively and warm tone, similar to that of mahogany, whilst giving the ukulele a distinctive look.
The construction combines an African okoumé neck with a walnut fingerboard, enhanced by abalone inlays that naturally catch the eye.
The walnut bridge, together with the bone nut and saddle, complete this meticulously crafted instrument. With its 18 frets and 380 mm scale length, the concert size offers more space on the fingerboard than the soprano, whilst remaining easy to carry.
The arched back, gold-plated geared tuning machines and inlaid walnut rosette add their own distinctive touches to the DUC430’s aesthetic. A padded gig bag and a starter’s guide are included to accompany you on your travels.
