Flight - NUB310 Baritone + Housse

A quiet evening, soft lighting, a few chords echoing through the room: the Flight NUB310 invites you to take a more relaxed approach to the ukulele. With a length of 74 cm and its baritone size, it offers a feel much closer to that of a classical guitar than the smaller models in the range. The neck offers more space, the sound gains warmth, and the instrument fits easily into a vocal accompaniment or a quieter session.

Its body, crafted from laminated African sapele, features the characteristic golden to reddish-brown hues of this wood, whilst the arched back enhances the instrument’s resonance. The African okoumé neck features a walnut fingerboard and incorporates a truss rod, allowing the neck’s curvature to be adjusted for optimal playing comfort. The walnut bridge, along with the bone nut and saddle, complete the construction, whilst the open-gear tuning machines make tuning easier.

With its 19 frets, 510 mm scale length and fret markers up to the 17th fret, the NUB310 offers plenty of scope for exploring the baritone register. It is particularly at home when a piece calls for a deeper sound: resting against you during an unamplified rehearsal, around a table amongst fellow musicians, or simply at home to accompany a voice. Finally, its padded case makes it easy to take with you when you want to take that atmosphere beyond the home.

A note regarding the strings: NUB310s shipped since 2022 use a linear DGBE tuning with suitable strings. Some older models may still be fitted with GCEA strings; you should therefore check the type of strings before changing the tuning.
