The Genelec 8020 DPM is a bi-amplified nearfield loudspeaker designed to deliver exceptional sound quality in a compact, rugged package. Ideal for small to medium-sized studios, audio workstations and critical listening environments, this loudspeaker embodies Genelec's expertise in acoustic engineering and design.

The speaker body is made from cast aluminium MDE™ (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure), a technology that reduces diffraction and ensures even sound dispersion. Incorporating Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™) technology, the 8020 DPM offers controlled directivity, improving clarity and accuracy at high frequencies.

This 2-way loudspeaker features a 4-inch bass driver and a 3/4-inch metal dome tweeter, mounted on the DCW waveguide. This configuration provides an extended frequency response from 56Hz to 25kHz (-6dB), guaranteeing detailed, balanced sound reproduction across the entire audio spectrum. The Class D bi-amplification system provides 50W of power for the woofer and 50W for the tweeter, offering a maximum SPL of 100dB.

The Genelec 8020 DPM incorporates advanced features such as the ISS™ (Intelligent Signal Sensing) system, which automatically puts the speaker into standby mode when no signal is detected, helping to reduce power consumption and meeting strict European standards. Filtering and amplifiers are integrated, providing an all-in-one solution for audio professionals.

The loudspeaker features a balanced XLR connector, ensuring a reliable and noise-free connection with other professional audio equipment. For flexible installation, the 8020 DPM has a 3/8-inch thread for mic stand mounting, as well as M6 threaded inserts for wall or VESA (M4) mounting. It also comes with an Iso-Pod™ table stand, which allows the speaker to be optimally positioned while isolating vibration.

The on/off switch on the rear panel makes day-to-day use easy, while the protective grille ensures the durability of the internal components. The charcoal grey finish gives the speaker an understated, elegant aesthetic, blending perfectly into any studio environment.
