Presentation
The Gibson J-35 Faded 30s is an acoustic guitar that pays homage to pre-war instruments and the original model launched in 1936, during the Great Depression, where it was designed as a simplified and affordable version of the Jumbo. With the J-35 30s Faded, Gibson offers a modern revisit that retains the spirit and essential characteristics of this iconic model, while adding a vintage touch with its satin nitrocellulose varnish finish.
This aged look adds character to this guitar, in line with its historical heritage.
Its dreadnought design with rounded shoulders, or "Round Shoulder," is designed to offer a warm and balanced sound projection, ideal for flattop. The Sitka spruce soundboard, combined with a mahogany body, back and sides, deliver a sound spectrum rich in bass, with well-defined highs.
This combination of woods gives the J-35 a round and full-bodied tone, which knows how to charm with its simplicity and depth. The X-bracing, hand-carved using the traditional method, ensures the instrument a powerful and balanced sound.
Its mahogany neck with a rounded profile "Rounded" is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius, offering a smooth and pleasant playability. The 19 standard crown frets and the bone nut add to the precision and durability of this instrument.
The Grover open-back tuners guarantee optimal tuning stability, and the rectangular bridge with closed bone slot improves the transmission of string vibrations, ensuring maximum resonance.
For players who want to amplify their sound, this guitar is equipped with an LR Baggs VTC pickup with discrete volume and tone controls mounted in the mouth, offering an authentic and faithful sound experience, both on stage and in the studio. The Gibson J-35 Faded 30s comes with a hardshell case, allowing it to be transported safely.
