Presentation
Among the iconic acoustic guitars from Gibson's workshops, the Gibson J45 occupies a special place. A true icon of American folk, this electro-acoustic J-45 Standard retains the sonic DNA and timeless elegance of the original model, while opening up to modern applications thanks to its LR Baggs VTC pickup system.
Its solid Sitka spruce top, combined with a hand-scalloped X-bracing, offers a remarkable balance between precision in the treble and warmth in the midrange. The mahogany back and sides, with their natural projection and muted timbre, reinforce this warm sound signature, perfectly suited to both arpeggios and strumming. The mahogany neck with its Slim Taper profile makes playing smooth and comfortable, whether you're a rhythm player or a singer-songwriter.
With a 24.75" scale, the gibson j45 offers a supple feel and immediate response to attack. The rosewood fingerboard, adorned with mother-of-pearl inlays and set on a 12" radius, ensures excellent playability throughout the 20 standard frets. The 43.8 mm headstock and rosewood Belly Up bridge with Tusq compensated saddle guarantee accuracy, stable intonation and comfort throughout the range.
The LR Baggs VTC on-board electronics are discreet but formidably effective, faithfully capturing the slightest nuances of playing. It features a volume/tone control that is directly accessible in the soundhole, without altering the natural design of the instrument. There's also a 6.35 mm jack output, precise Mini Grover Rotomatic action, imitation tortoiseshell pickguard and a nitrocellulose varnish that respects the natural vibration of the wood.
Carefully crafted in Montana, each Gibson J-45 leaves the workshop with a soul. Delivered in a hard-shell case, it's equally at home on stage or in the studio. A guitar built to last, to inspire and to accompany every musical moment with sincerity.
