The Gibson L-00 Standard Vintage Sunburst carries on the spirit of the small guitars that first appeared in the early 1930s, when the blues called for compact, straightforward instruments capable of being heard without any artificial enhancement. Its mahogany body and Sitka spruce top retain this slender silhouette whilst bringing out a clear mid-range, substantial enough to carry a voice without a microphone.

The mahogany neck, joined with a composite dovetail joint, features a SlimTaper profile that feels almost weightless under the fingers. Its 24.75-inch scale length complements this familiar body shape, whilst the rosewood fingerboard, shaped to a 12-inch radius, features 19 frets marked with mother-of-pearl inlays. The 43.815 mm black nut and the adjustable truss rod, concealed beneath its B/W cover, ensure the neck retains its accuracy and stability right up to the highest positions.

The high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer covers a body edged with single-ply binding on both the mahogany top and back. The hand-scalloped X-bracing channels vibration to the rectangular closed-slot bridge and TUSQ tuning pegs without dispersing it. The nickel-finished Mini Grover Rotomatic tuners and the L-00 pickguard complete a silhouette faithful to the Montana Small Body series.
