Designed to offer a wide range of playing styles and settings, the Les Paul Modern Studio Wine Red Satin + Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-M bundle combines a Gibson electric guitar with a Maestro analogue fuzz pedal. The Les Paul Modern Studio Wine Red Satin features a hollow-body mahogany body with a two-piece flamed maple top, a glued-in mahogany neck and an ebony fingerboard. Its SlimTaper neck and Modern Contoured Heel round off a design centred on playing comfort.
On the electronics front, the 490R Alnico II and 498T Alnico II humbuckers are paired with two push/pull volume controls with split function and two push/pull tone controls with phase/pure bypass. The three-position switch allows you to choose between the different pickup configurations. To further tailor the sound to your playing style, the guitar features several easily accessible controls.
The Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-M complements this setup with an analogue circuit, three controls – Attack, Tone and Level – and a Modern/Classic toggle switch. This allows you to experiment with the pedal’s two modes and gradually adjust its settings to match the configuration selected on the Les Paul.
To get the most out of the pack, take the time to test the different positions of the selector switch and the guitar’s push/pull functions with each of the FZ-M’s two modes. You can then fine-tune the Attack, Tone and Level controls to find the settings that suit your playing style.
