Gibson - Parlor Rosewood EC Rosewood Burst

The Gibson Parlor Rosewood EC Rosewood Burst, an electro-acoustic guitar in a Parlor body style, sits on your lap like a parlour instrument, yet delivers a powerful sound from the very first strum. The Small Body design reduces the instrument’s footprint without compromising on tone. The cutaway provides easy access to the highest frets, a real bonus for high-pitched solos.

The solid rosewood body is paired with a solid Sitka spruce top, edged with multi-ply binding on the front. A gloss nitrocellulose finish covers the top, whilst a satin finish protects the back and neck. The traditional scalloped X-bracing allows the bass tones to breathe, whilst the belly-up rosewood bridge and TUSQ tuning pegs transmit energy to the strings. The tortoiseshell pickguard completes the silhouette.

The mahogany neck, finished with a satin nitrocellulose lacquer, features the Advanced Response profile over a 24.75-inch scale length. The rosewood fingerboard, with a 16-inch radius, features 19 frets and mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. The 43.82 mm TUSQ nut and the adjustable truss rod, concealed beneath a black Bell double-fold cover, ensure the guitar stays in tune. The Gibson logo in mother-of-pearl adorns the headstock, and the gold-plated Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners maintain tuning without drift.

Whether on stage or in the quiet of a living room, the LR Baggs VTC under-saddle piezo and its active preamp are connected via a 6.35 mm jack housed in the endpin, with volume and tone controls mounted on the rosette. Strung with .012 to .053 strings, model number MCSBPRRB, in Rosewood Burst colour, it comes in a modern hard case.
