Godin - Redline 85 Red

The Godin Redline 85 Red guitar makes its debut in the 2025 catalogue, with a clear focus on rock and high-gain styles. Made in Canada, it has been designed for musicians looking for an instrument that’s easy to get to grips with and delivers great sound right from the very first notes. Its glossy red finish immediately catches the eye on stage. Its single volume control and 3-position selector switch allow you to get straight to the point without getting bogged down in complex settings.

The Canadian basswood body helps to keep the weight reasonable whilst maintaining good responsiveness. Godin has paired a bolt-on hard maple neck with a maple fingerboard. The 12" radius facilitates both chord playing and fast solo passages. The 22 medium frets allow you to comfortably utilise the full length of the neck.

The electronics configuration features a pair of EMG pickups particularly well-suited to rock and metal styles. The EMG 85 fitted at the bridge delivers a dense, punchy signal that brings out the distortion. At the neck, the EMG SLV provides greater articulation for arpeggios, melodic leads or refined clean tones. The system operates on a 9 V power supply to fully harness the performance of these active pickups.
