The Gretsch Catalina Maple Black Stardust features 7-ply maple drums for a warm, round sound.
The 8" tom provides a lively attack to help articulate your fills. The 10" offers a clear projection, useful for fast rhythms. The 12" adds a more open tone that sits well in any groove. The 14" tom offers a clean low end that supports quiet parts well. The 16" pushes even lower and gives a real foundation to the more intense passages. The 22 "x16" bass drum provides a clean impact that brings out the best in the whole kit. The 14 "x6.5" snare drum reacts quickly and provides easy-to-control nuances.
The GTS system holds the toms in place without constricting them, for a natural resonance. The supplied double stand and clip for the 8" tom make placement a breeze. Gretsch heads made by Remo help to achieve a clean sound without the headaches of adjustment. The T-Wing mechanism is easy to manipulate to quickly adjust each element.
