Presentation
This Gretsch G6134T-58 Limited Edition Penguin with String-Thru Bigsby electric guitar features the Penguin visual identity in a Light Blue Pearl finish combined with chrome hardware. Its chambered mahogany body with a arched maple top offers a design crafted to enhance resonance whilst retaining the distinctive character of this model.
The glued-in mahogany neck with a Standard “U” profile offers a smooth playing feel, whilst the ebony fingerboard, fitted with 22 Medium Jumbo frets, makes it easy to navigate the entire 625 mm scale length. The Neo-Classic Thumbnail mother-of-pearl inlays and Luminlay side inlays improve the readability of the fretboard.
On the electronics front, the two TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter’Tron pickups are paired with independent volume controls for each pickup, as well as a Master Volume control. The three-position pickup selector and three-position tone control allow for quick access to a variety of tone colours.
The Bigsby B3CP String-Thru vibrato completes the package, offering simplified use when changing strings. Combined with the Space Control bridge, Grover Imperial tuning machines and a bone nut, it contributes to a consistent playing experience. A Gretsch G6238XL hard case is included.
