HK Audio - Elements MK2 Big Base

The HK Audio Elements MK2 Big Base system is built around a subwoofer and two mid-high frequency columns. This configuration ensures consistent sound coverage and maintains clear sound reproduction across the listening area.

The DSP automatically detects the number of mid-treble modules connected and loads the appropriate equalisation filters for the configuration in use. The Flat, Contour and Voice presets also make it easy to adjust the processing according to the type of audio programme being played, without altering the parameters essential for a good balance.

The new Phase Plug waveguide extends the horizontal dispersion up to 90°, ensuring more even sound distribution across the listening area. The volume of the columns thus enhances the reproduction of the lower midrange, providing greater body to speech and instruments, even when the audio programme becomes dense across the entire usable frequency range and requires greater clarity.

The DSP also simplifies configuration management. It handles incompatible active speakers, delays, near-field boosts and monitor returns. To expand the system, the ELEMENTS MK2 110 Sub A and 115 Sub A subwoofers cater to distinct requirements, whilst the LINEAR 5 MK2 115 SUB A integrates seamlessly into the bass section thanks to its compatible dimensions.

The HK Audio SnapLock mechanism locks the components into place without tools, in a single movement, with reliable contact surfaces. The connection remains play-free and is resistant to dirt, wear and tear, as well as the repeated mechanical stresses encountered during handling and successive assembly. This design facilitates quick assembly, maintains long-term stability and secures connections during frequent operations, transport and on-site installations, with a connection designed to remain reliable over time.
