Ibanez - RG565R-PN Purple Neon
The Ibanez RG565R Purple Neon guitar revives the spirit of the historic RG models with a sharp silhouette and an eye-catching purple finish. Its resolutely rock-’n’-roll character is expressed through a bold retro aesthetic, enhanced by black detailing and a fingerboard adorned with shark-tooth inlays. Part of the Genesis Collection, this Japanese-made guitar combines the heritage of iconic models with a design tailored for guitarists who love to play with character.
Presentation
The passive Infinity R pickup at the neck and V8 pickup at the bridge cover everything from defined riffs to sustained solos. The 5-way selector switch provides access to a rich variety of pickup combinations, offering useful nuances to vary the attack and tone of the notes, for set-ups suited to rock and metal sounds.
The Edge vibrato system features a locking saddle to stabilise tuning during pitch changes and lever effects. This design facilitates aggressive bends and expressive passages, whilst maintaining precise intonation. Gotoh tuning machines round off the package with precise string adjustment – a valuable feature for maintaining reliable reference points whilst playing and enjoying a stable electric guitar vibrato.
The basswood body promotes a balanced response and prominent mid-range, allowing the pickups to retain their character across different gain levels. With a scale length of 648 mm and strung with .009–.042 gauge strings, it maintains a supple tension ideal for bends. This configuration will suit guitarists looking for a responsive electric guitar for rock, hard rock or metal, with a tonal range that spans from crisp attacks to detailed melodic lines.
