The ToneX Board from IK Multimedia combines TONEX amp, cabinet and pedal simulations, over 70 AmpliTube effects and two parallel AMP/CAB/FX paths. Its 5-inch colour touchscreen, five encoders and Preset, Scene and Stomp modes make it easy to manage sounds. Presentation
IK Multimedia presents the ToneX Board, a model designed in Italy that combines TONEX and AmpliTube technologies in a single pedalboard. It allows users to utilise samples of amps, cabinets and pedals via AI Machine Modelling technology, with over 60,000 samples available on ToneNET and more than 70 built-in effects from AmpliTube.
Its architecture features two parallel AMP/CAB/FX paths, up to 12 effects slots, and splitters and mixers for building complex signal chains. Preset, Scene and Stomp modes allow the unit to be adapted for use in the studio, at rehearsals and at gigs. Up to 1,400 presets can be stored across 12 setlists and 60 banks of 3 presets each.
The interface features a 5-inch colour touchscreen and 5 encoders. The ToneX Board features a stereo input, two independent stereo outputs, a stereo effects loop, MIDI, two inputs for expression pedals or external control, and a USB-C port. It also functions as a 4-in/2-out audio interface with direct monitoring.
The 24-bit/192 kHz converters offer a frequency response of 5 Hz to 24 kHz and a dynamic range of 123 dB. The storage, transfer and management of presets and sound templates are handled by TONEX Librarian.

A guitarist or bassist can use the ToneX Board in rehearsal or on stage by selecting their sounds using the Preset, Scene or Stomp modes. They can incorporate TONEX samples and AmpliTube effects into their signal chains, connect their instrument to the stereo input, and then use the XLR or TRS outputs to feed into their sound system. In the studio, the USB-C port also allows the ToneX Board to be used as a 4-in/2-out audio interface with direct monitoring.
