You can switch between Memory and Manual modes to recall presets or turn effects on and off, and connect to other compact pedals in mono or stereo. The dual Send/Return port lets you use external effects, the four-cable method, or send sound to a mixer or recorder. With foot switches or expression pedals, you can enjoy greater control or change amp channels. And with MIDI In and Out ports in jack format, the GT-1000 CORE can control or be controlled by other MIDI devices.

The GT-1000 CORE harnesses BOSS' extraordinary AIRD technology to enable new levels of playability, versatility and usability. AIRD is an evolution of the Tube Logic concept found in the Katana, Waza and Blues Cube amplifiers. It is here adapted to provide a uniform response in various amp processor use cases.
AIRD allows the GT-1000 CORE to fit easily into any type of configuration, so you can enjoy excellent sound and response with minimum adjustment. With a choice of AIRD Output Selects, you can adapt to any connection: guitar input, guitar amp cabinet output, wide-range amplifier system, or all three. AIRD is fully integrated with all GT-1000 CORE amps. So you can enjoy authentic sound and interactive response every time, whatever the type of connection you use.

Ce produit confirme la réputation de la marque en matière de fiabilité, d’esthétique, de qualité d’effets et de réglages d’usine. Je regrette juste que Boss n’ait pas mieux réglé le volume de sortie et le réducteur de bruit (noise gate) de beaucoup de ces 250 « patchs », ce qui gâche un peu le plaisir de la découverte et peut mettre les nerfs et les oreilles à rude épreuve quand on n’y connaît à peu près rien. Dans le même sens, je dirai aussi que le mode d’emploi (ou sa traduction française) n’est pas un chef-d’oeuvre de pédagogie pour les novices. C’est d’autant plus dommage que la machine tient toutes ses promesses et se révèle finalement plutôt simple d’utilisation y compris pour la fonction loop. Pour qui souhaite un tout-en-un très compact avec de nombreuses possibilités de connexions et qui permette de disposer facilement d’un grand nombre de sonorités aussi variées qu’élaborées, je ne vois toujours pas de meilleur choix.
