The Kala James Hill Signature Concert Solid Top Mahogany is a ukulele born of a true meeting between a passionate luthier and a visionary musician. It's a natural extension of the hand and ear.
James Hill, a leading figure in the modern ukulele, wanted a model that spoke as much to the heart as to the touch. The solid mahogany chosen for the top exudes a soft, organic warmth. The sides and back, in the same wood, reinforce the sensation of a body vibrating with a single breath.
The mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard glide effortlessly under your fingers. Each nickel fret is meticulously adjusted to keep the intonation stable across the entire 377.8 mm scale. Whether you're improvising or covering a Hawaiian classic, you'll soon feel you're on familiar ground.
The table's discreet, well thought-out chamfer prevents arm strain during long sessions. And thanks to the included deluxe case, the instrument travels as well as it plays.
