Presentation
This 8-channel digital multipair cable has been designed to connect to your Yamaha equipment and is created from a professional AES/EBU digital audio OmniWIRE cable. It has an ultra-low capacitance of 49 pF/m and a conductor cross-section of 0.22 mm². A 25-pin D-Sub connector, of YAMAHA™ digital standard, transmits the various signals through 4 pairs of Neutrik® male/female XLR connectors.
This cable is connectable to numerous studio configurations integrating peripherals of the type (recorder, console, rack or interface equipment...).
The contact surfaces are gold- and silver-plated, depending on the connectors. This design ensures very high sound quality and excellent conductivity while limiting corrosion. Each strand of the splice is surrounded by a braided sheath with self-extinguishing properties. Finally, the cable has a transparent heat-shrink sleeve at the ends for durable labelling.

OmniWIRE OW15Y multipair cables are highly flexible, each strand consisting of 19 wires. Two wires are each braided into a pair and protected against interference by a spiral shield. Above this shielding, a numbered PVC pair sheath surrounds the pair of wires, so that each element can be easily identified.
The cable contains between two and twenty-four of these elements. They comply with the AES/EBU standard and are therefore suitable for both analogue and digital audio. The braided layers of these elements fixed to the core of the cable maintain its structure even under heavy loads. This makes it particularly suitable for mobile cabling in the studio. The whole cable is surrounded by an extremely flexible outer sheath made of soft PVC.
