Thanks to its 2.5-way coaxial design and fearsomely calibrated FIRTEC DSP, the KSD C-55 Reference Black pack delivers a surgical, faithful and naturally wide soundstage. Each speaker features a coaxial driver combining a 5" glass fibre cone and a silk dome tweeter, backed up by a second woofer of the same calibre to double the bass output. Vertical or horizontal, this pair works in phase, without distortion, at any distance. Tonal neutrality, dynamic reserve, parametric settings: everything is designed to serve your ear, not to flatter it. The kind of duo that mixes as well as it chills.

With the KSD C-55 Reference Black pack, you have access to top-of-the-range coaxial monitoring, designed for professional production environments. The point-source design ensures perfect coherence between registers, a stable stereo image and consistent listening accuracy, even at varying distances or in unconventional placement configurations.
What strikes you in the first few minutes of listening is the transparency and legibility of the lower end of the spectrum. Thanks to its two 140 mm bass drivers, each powered by a dedicated motor, bass reproduction is clean, fast and free from resonance. You won't need to turn up the volume to feel the balance: details are there, transients are perceptible, and panoramas unfold naturally.
Incorporating the powerful 24-bit FIRTEC DSP, the C-55 Reference Black lets you fine-tune your frequency response with six parametric EQs, shelving for the extremes of the spectrum, and essential functions such as gain, delay and limiter. So you can optimise your listening with method, depending on your acoustics and workflow.
The sober black finish blends into any studio without attracting the eye, where the audio performance is the main attraction. The loudspeaker can be placed vertically or horizontally, depending on your space and broadcasting constraints. And if you need remote control, a dedicated remote control (KSD-RC) is available separately.
