Mac Mah - Aeris 108

The Mac Mah Aeris 108 combines sound reinforcement, mixing and wireless microphone reception in a compact speaker. It is ideal for presenters, organisations, teachers, musicians and speakers looking for a system that is easy to transport and quick to set up.

Its Class D amplifier delivers 150 W RMS, split between 100 W for low frequencies and 50 W for high frequencies. This bi-amplification system powers the 8-inch speaker and the 1-inch compression driver separately. The sound reproduction thus maintains good speech intelligibility whilst providing the necessary depth for music playback.

The woofer uses a 1.5-inch voice coil and a 35-ounce magnet. It handles rhythms, accompaniment and low-pitched vocals with a response extending down to 65 Hz. The compression driver then takes over at the top end of the spectrum to preserve the clarity of announcements and instruments.

The Aeris 108 achieves a maximum sound pressure level of 118 dB SPL. It is therefore suitable for sound reinforcement in a meeting room, a group class, a promotional event or a small private function. Its size remains compact enough to be installed in a confined space or transported regularly.

The supplied UHF microphone communicates directly with the HF receiver built into the speaker. Its operating frequency is set at 645.6 MHz. This provides the user with a ready-to-use wireless vocal solution, without the need for an external receiver or an additional audio input.

Two XLR/jack combo inputs allow you to connect wired microphones, a mixing desk or line-level sources. A 6.35 mm jack instrument input is suitable for a guitar, keyboard or other compatible source. The 3.5 mm mini-jack auxiliary input makes it easy to connect an audio player, computer or mobile device.

Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity makes it easy to stream music from a smartphone or tablet. The TWS function also allows you to pair two compatible speakers to create a stereo setup without the need for an audio cable between the two units. This configuration extends the coverage and separates the left and right channels.

The built-in media player plays MP3 and WMA files stored on a USB stick. It allows you to play a playlist, background music or accompanying tracks without needing an additional player. The Aeris 108 therefore acts as a self-contained sound system for many small-scale events.

The digital processing operates at 48 kHz with 32-bit resolution. It incorporates a limiter, a compressor, a crossover and parametric equalisation. These processing functions organise the frequency distribution, regulate the dynamics and protect the system against excessive signal levels.

Its 25.9 V, 3,600 mAh lithium battery provides approximately five hours of battery life, depending on the volume level and the functions used. The speaker can also be powered from the mains via its universal 100–240 V power supply. This means it remains operational both on the move and as part of a fixed installation.

Weighing 9.2 kg, the Aeris 108 remains portable enough for everyday use. It offers an all-in-one solution for public speaking, playing music and connecting multiple sources without turning every event into a festival-scale production.
