Electro-Voice - Everse 8

EVERSE 8 is the first battery-powered, weather-resistant PA speaker from Electro-Voice.

It is a CES 2023 Innovation Awards honoree! This annual competition honors outstanding design and engineering in technology products.

This all-in-one portable speaker was designed to provide a professional PA solution in a compact form factor for musicians, DJs, fitness instructors, and entertainers.

With a maximum SPL of 121 dB and a wide, consistent 100º x 100º coverage in a compact form factor, EVERSE 8’s capabilities set new benchmarks in the portable PA speaker market with professional quality.

EVERSE 8 features an 8-inch woofer with EV’s patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) port and a high-efficiency titanium tweeter mounted on a constant directivity waveguide.

EVERSE 8 is powered by a custom-designed, high-capacity Li-ion battery that is fully optimized for audio use and provides up to 12 hours of playtime. Protection circuits reduce the risk of the battery discharging to such a low voltage that it can no longer be recharged – for example, after long periods of storage. Tool-free screws allow for effortless battery removal.

The built-in 12V DC port provides power from the EVERSE 8’s battery, perfect for powering a wireless microphone system such as the Electro-Voice RE3 or R300. A charging port is included for mobile devices if a recharge is required while streaming.

In combination with the rugged polypropylene housing, the use of the included weatherproof inlet cover allows EVERSE 8 to meet the IP43 standard (water resistance for splashes and light rain) when operating on battery power and during Bluetooth streaming.

Built-in feet with non-slip rubber pads ensure the system stays in place. Take EVERSE 8 outdoors for gigs, rehearsals, barbecues or anywhere else a PA is needed, regardless of the weather forecast.

The free downloadable EV QuickSmart Mobile app lets you adjust all audio, effects and mixing functions via your smartphone or tablet. An intuitive user interface makes it easy to shape your sound to fit the space, so you can focus on the show.
