With this Armory Stage Rock 22 in Black Dawn finish, Mapex offers a drum kit that's a natural fit for today's rehearsal, studio and live performance environments. Right from the outset, the 5-drum configuration inspires confidence: 22" bass drum, 10" and 12" toms, 16" floor tom and 14" snare drum. A coherent ensemble for tackling styles such as rock, pop or deeper registers.
The drums feature a 6-ply construction combining birch and maple, 7.2 mm thick. This choice of wood gives a clean attack, with a rapid response under the sticks. The notes come out clearly, without dragging, which helps to keep the playing legible, even in a busy mix.
The SONIClear suspension system contributes to this feeling. It lets the drum vibrate freely, without being muffled by its support. As a result, each tom breathes more freely, with a more controlled resonance that's more natural to the ear.
In terms of finish, the Black Dawn brings a marked visual presence, supported by chrome fittings that reinforce the whole without overdoing it.
