Lefthanded Bass
Sire Marcus Miller V7 Ash Reissue 5 Cordes LH Tobacco Sunburst Satin The Sire Marcus Miller V7 Ash Reissue 5-string LH Tobacco Sunburst Satin expands the spectrum where 4-strings leave off. The 46 mm bone saddle and 18 mm string spacing calibrate the left hand to five strings without tightening the fingers. The poplar burr veneer on a swamp ash body sets the visual tone. The USA single enamel winding and Heritage-3 3-band preamp do the rest.

Presentation
Sire Marcus Miller V7 Ash Reissue 5-string LH Tobacco Sunburst Satin - five strings, left-handed, and a low register that goes down where the standard four strings no longer go. This isn't just a string addition: it's a complete recalibration of the instrument. The 46 mm saddle measures this reality right from the headstock - eight millimetres more than on the four-string version, so that the five strings can hold their own without being compressed. The 18 mm spacing between strings at the bridge strikes just the right balance between the latitude required for slap playing and the density needed to move quickly through five strings.
The swamp ash body is back in action after the shortage of 2021, with its acoustic character intact: clean attack, open midrange, bass that is defined rather than fuzzy. The poplar burr veneer beneath the satin-finish Tobacco Sunburst Satin plays its visual part - the burl flames rise up through the tobacco gradation, and the matt surface doesn't reflect spotlights back in your face. The Marcus Heavymass II bridge anchors the five strings with the same rigour, B-flat string included.
The C-profile hard maple neck maintains consistent geometry across five strings. The 241.3 mm radius Edgeless™ fingerboard and its 20 2.4 mm medium frets with rounded edges avoid fatigue on high positions at the end of the neck. The 60s-spaced Jazz Bass pickup configuration with single enamel USA winding gives high sonic resolution - every string comes out cleanly in the mix, including the B-flat that often drowns out poorly shielded basses.
The Marcus Heritage-3 3-band preamp with midrange frequency selection sculpts the spectrum to suit the context - funk, rock, studio groove. The active/passive switch remains available for seamless live switching. The ivory 3-ply pearloid pickguard, white pearloid block markers, open premium chrome mechanics and 4-screw steel plate neck mount keep the whole set well away from the generic catalogue.
