The album Afrodeezia is a particularly personal project for Marcus Miller. Inspired by his travels in Africa as part of his role with UNESCO, the album explores the links between African and Afro-American music. Miller incorporates traditional instruments, local percussion and international collaborations. The project seeks not only to blend styles, but also to tell a cultural story linked to migration and the evolution of black music. This artistic and historical approach gives the album an educational and emotional dimension that is particularly strong in his personal and international discography.
