Presentation
Under the bonnet, two ceramic pickups add versatility to the sound: a split single-coil in the neck position for deep, round bass, and a single-coil Jazz Bass in the bridge position for more attack and definition. Three simple controls - neck volume, bridge volume and overall tone - are all you need to sculpt the sound to suit the context, whether you're rehearsing, performing or recording at home.
The Marshall DSL5C takes over on the amplification side. This 5-watt all-tube combo, switchable to 1 watt, combines two ECC83s in the preamp and an ECC82 in the power amp for a warm, responsive sound. The two channels, classic gain and ultra gain, cover a wide palette: precise clean, biting crunch or generous saturation. The tone controls (treble, midrange, bass) are complemented by a Tone Shift switch to reshape the midrange to your taste.
This model is designed to fit into any configuration, and includes an effects loop, a digital reverb and a Softube emulated line output for direct connection to a recording system or PA. The mini-jack input makes it easy to play back your reference tracks, and the included footswitch gives you instant control over channel change and reverb.
The 3 m male/male jack cable, with its 1.5 mm² cross-section and robust jacket, completes the package. It guarantees a clear signal, with no loss or noise, so that every nuance of your playing comes through in the mix.
This trio is ready to accompany your bass lines in any context. Whether you're looking to add to your first setup or to have a complete and coherent kit, the Affinity PJ and DSL5C combination gives you access to a sophisticated and inspiring sound. Plug in, tune up, and let your fingers do the rest.
