Presentation
The Little Marcus 1000 58R from Markbass takes versatility a step further. This bass amp head designed with Marcus Miller combines classic 5-band EQ with two specific filters: Old School mode for vintage texture, and Millerizer for incisive slap.
Both EQ sections are activated by an optional footswitch. You can change the ambience with a flick of the wrist. The first EQ covers all the expected ranges: from ultralow to high. Each band adjusts the sound by ±16dB, without excess or wobble.
There's also a mute, DI level control, a full XLR output (PRE/POST EQ + lift) and a dual-band limiter. The latter reacts nervously to variations in playback, without ever overpowering the dynamics.
Everything is plugged in at the front. Effects loop, tuner output, power supply, everything remains visible. No cables to guess behind the rack. This design choice speeds up stage changes, especially with a mobile configuration.
Weighing in at just 2.57 kg, it can handle 1000 watts at 4 ohms. So it combines mobility and punch. The chassis is rigid and well thought-out, and stands up to daily wear and tear.
This reference goes further than a simple signature model. It offers a real choice of sound, in a format designed for those who play gig after gig in studios.
