With the new micro line array Omniline, Martin Audio is positioned again as an innovative speaker designer.
Speaker without membrane.
New concept speaker operated in "piston" without membrane. The solid oscillating in expanded resin has a shape that fits perfectly with the contour of acute waveguide. Diffraction created by the conical cavity traditional HP membrane is thus eliminated.
Finally, this non-interference medium / high results in an identical response curve in the axis (red) until horizontal opening limit (blue).
Acute Section "line source"
Obtained by the distance of only 21mm between the acoustic centers 5 (dome tweeters juxtaposed on an aluminum radiator which provides heat dissipation of the whole).
Cabinetmaking / Resin flag
The cabinet in resin of the front face is the horizontal waveguide obtained by modeling. It overcomes the diffraction edges inherent in traditional wood woodworking (canted).

Today most software to assist the implementation of Line Array systems works on the same mode.
The user plays with the height and angle of the system then initiates a simulation calculation of coverage obtained.
