The Martin Audio SXC118 Black is a compact cardioid subwoofer designed to offer precise control of low frequencies in the most demanding environments. Its design incorporates two independent drivers: a front-firing 18" and a rear-firing 14", each fed by a separate amplifier channel. This architecture generates a cardioid dispersion pattern, maximising forward energy while significantly reducing unwanted bass behind the cabinet.
With rear rejection of up to 28dB at 75Hz, the SXC118 effectively limits vibrations on stage, around turntables or against walls, improving the clarity and impact of the overall system. Its frequency response of 43 Hz to 150 Hz and maximum SPL of 140 dB ensure powerful, controlled bass, suitable for both concerts and fixed installations.
Constructed from robust plywood with a textured black finish, it combines durability with professional aesthetics. Nesting skids make stacking easy, while the M20 insert allows pole mounting with WPM or WPS speakers. Integrated handles and castor options make transport convenient, and accessories such as the protective cover and waterproofing kit extend its range of uses.
