Folk Guitar
An exceptional and incomparable folk guitar, even though it's been copied so many times, this guitar has been around for over 100 years and has seen its characteristics evolve, with elements specific to pre-war models combined with modern performance (especially the neck profile).

Presentation
Vintage-inspired but upgraded a few years ago, like the D-18, the redesigned 000-18 offers many of the features found in pre-war guitars. The beautifully aged 000-18 features a solid Sitka spruce top with real mahogany back and sides. The body has a tortoise binding complemented by a polished finish. The short 24.9" neck features a modified low oval with a Performing Artist neck, 1-3/4" headstock saddle gap and 2-3/16" neck string for easier playability. The open nickel tuners and Butterbean knobs coupled with the rosewood headstock clearly display the Martin Guitars affiliation, not least thanks to the large, prominent vintage Martin logo.

C.F. Martin and Co. has been building exceptional guitars for over 180 years. Founded in 1833 by Christian Martin Senior, the American firm has continued its work from generation to generation, spanning the centuries and the economic, social and political turmoil that has occurred over those many years, such as the Civil War, the Great Depression and many others.
Now run by Christian Frederick Martin IV, Martin Guitars has been able to adapt and constantly innovate, introducing new manufacturing techniques that remain an example for the guitar industry, such as the famous X-bracing, the 14th fret joint and the Dreadnought shape.
Adored by musicians and played by the greatest, Martin guitars have contributed to the development of most musical styles, from country to blues and from folk to rock. The list of Martin artists is so long that it could sum up the history of modern music, with legends such as Elvis Presley, Paul McCartney, Johnny Cash, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Ben Harper, John Mayer and many others...
