Folk Guitar
Designed in collaboration with Billy Strings, this D-28 from Martin & Co combines an Adirondack spruce top with an Indian rosewood body for fast response and plenty of reserve power. The Forward Shifted bracing enhances projection, while the Modified Low Oval profile ensures a fluid grip. Fitted with open gear action and supplied in a hard case, it's equally at home with precise flatpicking and assertive bluegrass rhythms.

Presentation
The D-28 Billy Strings from Martin & Co takes the iconic base of the dreadnought format and incorporates the preferences of a musician renowned for his energetic, articulate playing. Its solid Adirondack spruce top reacts precisely to the attack, ideal for flatpicking and fast passages.
Combined with solid East Indian rosewood, it produces deep basses and defined highs, with beautiful note separation. The Forward Shifted scalloped X-bracing, also in Adirondack, promotes openness and projection. The result is a wide dynamic range that's just as suited to acoustic stages as it is to band sessions.
The selected mahogany neck has a comfortable Modified Low Oval profile, with a saddle width of 44.5 mm that facilitates both complex chords and melodic playing. The ebony fingerboard and matching bridge provide precision and stability, while the bone saddle adds to the overall clarity.
Aesthetically, the natural gloss finish, tortoise shell pickguard and 28-style inspired details underline its traditional character. The nickel open-guitar action adds to the guitar's aesthetic appeal. Delivered in a moulded hard case, it's ready to follow the guitarist everywhere.
