Presentation
Among the wide variety of instruments that Martin was able to create, it's easy to say that no other model has enjoyed such popularity that the Dreadnought (naught of dread and, literally "who fears nothing").
Taking the name of a great British warship, the Dreadnought guitar Martin created in 1916 has evolved in the 1930s and quickly became one of the most popular instruments in the world. At the time John Deichman was the head of Martin Guitar workshop and a passionate guitarist who has worked on the design of this guitar.
So with the help of Harry Hunt and Frank Henry Martin, Deichmann has worked to develop the first model 12-boxes of the popular Martin Dreadnought.
This instrument commemorates 100 years of the creation of the Dreadnought shape of guitars. Indeed, the first Dreadnought guitar was built by CF Martin & Co. in 1916. It is a limited edition of 100 copies.
