Presentation
With the 00-18 Joe Bonamassa, Martin continues a valuable collaboration with the guitarist, born out of his admiration for his own 1937 00-18. This signature edition retains the hallmarks of this historic instrument whilst incorporating the qualities of a contemporary build.
The solid spruce top features a sunburst finish crafted to evoke the signs of ageing on the original guitar, a visual nod to its rich history. The solid mahogany back and sides complement this tonal character with deep bass, a pronounced mid-range and clear treble, typical of this wood.
The 00 body shape, more compact than a dreadnought, lends itself particularly well to blues, folk and fingerstyle playing, offering playing comfort that is appreciated both in the studio and on stage. As for the neck, the GE Modified Low Oval profile, combined with a standard taper, evokes the feel of pre-war models, ensuring a smooth playing experience.
